The Livingston/Overton County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that President & CEO Zach Stephens has graduated from the Tennessee Valley Authority's Rural Leadership Institute, a program that provides advanced leadership training to rural economic development professionals across the Tennessee Valley.

Through a series of intensive sessions, participants in the Rural Leadership Institute develop skills in leadership impact and stakeholder engagement, economic development sales training, and competitive strategies for site selection. Since its founding in 2011, the program has trained more than 270 professionals, strengthening communities throughout the TVA service area.

"The competition for jobs and investment is won by the communities that know how to tell their story, understand what site selectors are looking for, and bring their partners to the table," said Stephens. "I am grateful to TVA for the investment in rural leaders like me, and I look forward to putting this training to work for the businesses and families of Overton County."

The training is expected to enhance the Chamber's ability to attract investment, support business growth, and build innovative partnerships that benefit all of Overton County.
