The Livingston/Overton County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Biz Foundry, the Upper Cumberland's regional entrepreneur center, hosted the first-ever Contractor Business Bootcamp in Overton County, bringing practical business training directly to the local contractors and tradespeople who build and maintain the community.

The bootcamp focused on the fundamentals that determine whether a contracting business survives and grows, including financial management, proper licensing, and the professional systems that allow an owner to move from working in the business to running it.

"Supporting entrepreneurs isn't just about networking events, it's about equipping business owners with the tools they need to succeed," said Zach Stephens, President & CEO of the Livingston/Overton County Chamber of Commerce. "When local contractors and small business owners have strong financial management, proper licensing, and professional systems in place, they can grow their operations, hire more employees, and contribute to our local economy. These businesses keep dollars circulating in our community and create the quality jobs we need to retain talent."

The Chamber thanked The Biz Foundry for partnering to bring the training to Overton County and for its continued investment in entrepreneurs across the region.

The bootcamp is part of the Chamber's broader small business support efforts, and the Chamber plans to continue offering targeted training for industries that drive the local economy.
